The BYNAR Project is a smart waste bin IoT (Internet of Things) solution comprising of an electronic device kit and a mobile application interface or dashboard that displays the current level of waste in the bin, the presence of decaying waste and if the bin has fallen down. This enables the user of the dashboard to determine if there is a need to empty the bin. This solution aids in providing real-time information on the content and state of the bin, thereby removing the need for the waste management officers in making un-informed trips for waste collection which leads to effective time and effort management.
